Silicon Nitride CeramicsSilicon nitride, mainly consisting of Si3N4, has excellent thermal shock resistance and high-temperature strength. These properties make it ideal for use in automotive engines and gas turbines. It is used for turbocharger rotors, glow plugs and hot plugs in diesel engines, and is being applied in many other diverse applications.
